Maresme Parks

Maresme Parks

El Maresme is a privileged space. The coastline is its face, but its backbone, which separates it from the regions of El Vallès, La Selva and El Barcelonès, is formed by the mountains, valleys, forests and smooth plains of the eastern half of the Catalan coastal mountains.

More than 20,000 hectares are under protection and included in three natural parks: Montnegre i el Corredor, Serralada Litoral and Serra de la Marina. More than 800 species of plants and nearly 220 kinds of vertebrates make up an area of great natural wealth and fauna marked by biodiversity, aside from offering spots of great beauty and magnificent views of the region.
